Do I have access to all the library's electronic resources from anywhere?
Yes! Currently enrolled North Georgia students and currently employed faculty and staff have access to all electronic library resources whether on or off-campus. Licenses restrict remote access to these groups only. Visitors may use library resources in-person at the Library Technology Center at guest computers.

What is a proxy server?
Proxy server software authenticates the status of students, faculty, and staff.

How do I use the proxy server?
Select the electronic resource needed. The proxy server will prompt you to enter your last name and Saints ID. Once your status is confirmed, the proxy server links to the electronic resource. Typically, you will only need to enter your name and Saints ID once during an online session.

How secure is my personal information?
Your login information is secured using SSL encryption.

Can I lend my authentication information to others?
No. The University takes seriously its legal responsibilities to comply with contracts and licenses and is diligent in maintaining a database of eligible users. The consequences of willfully breaching contracts could be significant for the University community, including the loss of campus access to library supported research databases. Violators of this policy may be subject to University disciplinary policies, criminal prosecution, and/or be liable for damages to the fullest extent provided by law. Please report security violation to the director of library services sctonner@ngcsu.edu or 706-864-1514.
